One day, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was describing the virtues of Khadija (RA). Pointing to the heavens and the earth, he said,
“Mary, mother of Jesus, is the best of the women of the heavens, and the most worthy woman living on this earth is Khadija, daughter of Khuwaylid.”
Khadija’s life stands as a timeless inspiration for believers—especially for women. She is a shining example of devotion, generosity, and strength in the service of Islam. Through her unwavering support, wealth, time, and energy, she played a vital role in the early days of the Prophet’s mission.
Her story calls believers to lead purposeful lives. It reminds us to remember Khadija (RA) and the entire family of the Prophet ﷺ in our prayers—for it was their sacrifice, steadfastness, and dedication that allowed Islam to spread across the world and the Qur’an to be preserved as it is today.
May Allah be pleased with them all.
Once, while the Prophet ﷺ was in the Cave of Hira with the angel Jibril (Gabriel), the angel informed him:
“Khadija is approaching. She has brought food and water for you. When she arrives, give her greetings from her Lord and tell her that a house of pearls awaits her in Paradise, where there will be no hardship or noise.”
When Khadija (RA) arrived, the Prophet ﷺ conveyed the message:
“Here is Jibril. He sends greetings to you from your Lord, and he himself greets you as well.”
She replied with deep serenity:
“Allah is Peace, and He is the Source of Peace! May peace and blessings be upon you, O Messenger of Allah. And my greetings to Jibril!”
